In 2019, Investment Neighbor’s founder Na’Quon Willett, wondered if his passion for business consulting and entrepreneurship might give him a competitive advantage in the stock market. After months of self-teaching, an internship at Edward Jones, and consistent stock & option trades yielding a return of greater than or equal to 100%, the founder began to recognize the power of equity investing, particularly in the public stock market.
Na’Quon wouldn’t stop there, however. A surge of individuals flooded to open brokerage accounts in 2020, and a growing concern over the wealth gap became a major discussion amongst activists, politicians, and economists. Na’Quon asked himself the question, “how might I use my expertise in investing and business analysis to shrink the wealth difference between the “top 1%” and the everyday
working individual?”
